Café Maddalena is proud to feature New Clairvaux wines exclusively. Every bottle poured in our dining room reflects the craftsmanship, history, and passion of this remarkable vineyard
New Clairvaux Vineyard is truly unique, representing one of the most distinctive stories in American viticulture. Founded twenty-five years ago by Trappist monks and the Sunseri Family, New Clairvaux Vineyard has been a proud local fixture, handcrafting award-winning wines.

The Winemaker narrative highlights the legacy of Anton Nichelini, a Swiss-Italian immigrant who established Napa Valley's oldest family-owned winery. His descendants, the Sunseri family, partnered with the Abbey of New Clairvaux in 2000 to revive the region's viticulture through two experimental vineyards. Aimée Sunseri, a fifth-generation winemaker trained at UC Davis, has contributed to the winery's success, resulting in award-winning wines. Visitors are invited to taste the fruits of their labor.
